The \u201cArt Nouveau\u201d Year in Cartagena has already had its opening\u00a0ceremony with the book release and the exhibition vernissage\u00a0\u201cCelestino Mart\u00ednez and the Grand Hotel\u201d, a project sponsored by\u00a0Urbincasa.<\/p>\n

The City Hall gathered the visitors who wanted to attend the \u201cArt\u00a0Nouveau\u201d Year opening ceremony. The main act was the book release\u00a0and the exhibition vernissage \u201cCelestino Mart\u00ednez and the Grand\u00a0Hotel\u201d<\/em>, a project organized by writer Jos\u00e9 Manuel Chac\u00f3n and\u00a0sponsored by Urbincasa.<\/p>\n

The photography exhibition collects Miguel Mart\u00ednez (Celestino\u2019s son)\u00a0work, and shows his legacy in images<\/strong>, as well as some artistic\u00a0reinterpretations from about ten different artists.<\/p>\n

\"Ano<\/a>The assistants to the opening ceremony event enjoyed a trip to the\u00a0past thanks to a \u201cBelle \u00c9poque\u201d atmosphere evocation with some\u00a0celebrities of that period such as opera singer\u00a0Conchita Vel\u00e1zquez.<\/p>\n

The \u201cArt Nouveau\u201d Year means highlighting the specific features of this\u00a0artistic trend in Cartagena through different activities, understanding\u00a0the development of the city and it surroundings, and getting to know a\u00a0bit more about that period society.<\/p>\n

The one-hundred-year Grand Hotel building has been the\u00a0keystone to promote this idea, and, since we are so close to this\u00a0emblematic Art \u2013 Nouveau element, we could not miss the event.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
