After three years, this quarter of 2013 (July to September) the first rise of property prices is registered since 2010.

The price of freehold property, both new and second hand houses , rose 0.7% in the third quarter of 2013, compared to the previous three months period.

This news is very significant because it is the first increase occurring since mid-2010, according to data provided by the National Statistics Institute (INE).

In the case of the Region of Murcia the rise was less than average, just 0.2% while in the Valencian Community the rise was 1.8% , the second highest in Spain.

In the inter-annual variation, the figures for house prices continue to fall over 2012 , with similar declines in new and second- hand homes, however, these data together with the information from the last few months on the housing market and other markets, may mark a turnaround.
