One of the world’s most renowned golf magazine has once more chosen La Manga Club as best Golf Resort in Spain. The company settled in Cartagena has got this award for the fifth consecutive year.
The winner is selected according to golfers’ votes, which means this award is a result depending on European and British golf players’ opinions, and not on the resort technical features or standardized qualifications.
La Manga Golf Club Resort had already been awarded this year as Best Golf Hotel of Spain by the World Golf Awards 2015.
Our development Las Drizas is only 15 minutes from the prestigious resort, so the owners could have taken part in this voting.
“Being chosen as the best place in Spain to play golf for the fifth consecutive year is an achievement we all feel proud for in the resort.”
José Asenjo, La Manga Club General Manager.
Golf has played a major role in sport tourism development in Murcia and has made the region to be a port of call for any golf lover in Europe.
The resort, officially opened in 1972, has three golf courses, 18 golf holes in total, a surface equivalent to three times the Principality of Monaco surface. Last year the West course was included in the top 100 best Europe Golf Courses, and the three courses were placed amongst the 40 best golf courses of Europe.
